Safe Church

We take seriously our responsibilities to  ensure that our church is a safe place for all God’s children.

Everyone who works with children and youth, or in a pastoral role with adults, is required to take Safe Church training. This is a national Episcopal program for the prevention of sexual abuse and sexual harassment. This training is designed to increase awareness regarding sexual misconduct and abuse of power, to outline steps toward preventing abuse, to offer ways to intervene when misconduct occurs and to equip anyone in a position of parish leadership with ways of healing and rebuilding the body of Christ.

In addition, the training is required for all who have keys to our building and all of those elected to lead our faith community.
